Spring Road Trip To Hazelwood Scotia Homes
Our road trip in April takes us to the stunning Hazelwood development (by Scotia Homes just south of Blairgowrie. Hazelwood is a modern collection of 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms terraced, semi-detached and detached new build houses. Perfectly positioned within 30 miles of Perth, Dundee and the Cairngorms National Park, this new development blends contemporary style and function to create a warm and comfortable feel.
From our team’s travels, you know our Advisors hit the road to bring mortgage and personal protection advice direct to our clients. The event on Saturday 22nd April with Scotia Homes is a free event focusing on Scotia’s Part Exchange and offers. Cameron McLean will be on site to chat all things mortgage related (he will also chat about whisky and motorbikes, without encouragement).
Hazelwood, Scotia Homes
Hazelwood is the second development in Scotland and third in the UK to be awarded the prestigious Silver award by the NextGeneration Project - the sustainability benchmarking system for UK homebuilders. Scotia is proud to be paving the way for a sustainable future!
It is a modern collection of 2, 3 & 4 bedroom terraced, semi-detached and detached new build houses in the highly sought-after location of Rosemount, Blairgowrie. Perfectly positioned within 30 miles of Perth, Dundee and the Cairngorms National Park, this new development blends contemporary style and function to create a warm and comfortable feel.
Whilst it’s a new development, houses are well underway, and the first residents have already moved in. The area is close to Dundee so that you don’t miss out on the vibrant city life and cultural attractions such as;
- The Royal Research Ship (RRS), Discovery is moored at Discovery Point in Dundee and open for visitor tours. Built in the city in 1900, RRS Discovery was the ship, which carried Captain Scott on his first expedition across the Antarctic. She was constructed in Dundee and returned home in 1986. Learn about the full Discovery story at this award-winning, five-star attraction.
- Broughty Ferry's fine seafront esplanade and sweeping sands provide the perfect place for a relaxing stroll or a quiet picnic. One of 59 Scottish beaches to be given the Seaside Award status in 2013, a prize awarded by the Keep Scotland Beautiful charity, rewards the quality of litter management, safety procedures and water quality on beaches all around Scotland. Broughty Ferry beach has consistently held the award since 2004.
- Located on the northwest fringe of Dundee, Camperdown Country Park is open all year and offers a range of activities including woodland trails, 18 hole championship golf course, Pitch and Putt course, an adventure playground and Camperdown Wildlife Centre where you can see European brown bears, wolves, lynx and ring tailed lemurs. Annual city events are also hosted in the Park including The Dundee Flower and Food Festival.
- And of course, the international centre of design, V&A Dundee presents the brilliance of Scottish creativity and the best of design from around the world. The first ever dedicated design museum in Scotland and the only other V&A museum anywhere in the world outside London, V&A Dundee provides a place of inspiration, discovery and learning through its mission to enrich lives through design.For the first time and in one place, V&A Dundee explores Scotland's design heritage – its past, present and future.
That's the city part of living at Hazelwood, with it’s proximity to Scotland’s largest national park you have a plethora of outdoor activities to choose from all year round. You can choose from watersports, snowsports, hiking and walking trains, cycling and golfing.
For the deeply adventurous, there’s the first permanent bridge-based bungee jump. You will freefall 40m from a bridge bungee platform and travel up to 50mph whilst airborne.
As you can see living at Hazelwood will not be short of activities all year round.
What to expect
Joan Nicol from Scotia Homes will be available to answer all your questions about plots, future developments and part exchange.
The event will focus on Scotia’s Part Exchange offer. Part Exchange is where you the builder, in this case, Scotia Homes, will buy your home and use the equity towards buying a new home from the builder. Using this process enables a much smoother, and stress-free, selling and buying process. You avoid a, potentially, messy chain for selling and get to match up your move-in and move-out dates effortlessly.
Cameron will be available to provide information and offer personalised advice where required, including assisting in assessing what is affordable in respect of the Part Exchange and obtaining a mortgage decision in principle for you. Please note that a mortgage decision in principle does not constitute a guarantee of a mortgage offer, which is subject to underwriting following an application.
Joan and Cameron will find out your needs and wants to help you secure your home at Hazelwood.
